Greetings again everyone, I hope you enjoyed the posts from last week. Meanwhile, other blogs were making great posts as well, so in the tradition of best of the web, we’ve gone around and collected the best posts from last week into one simple and awesome collection.

Christopher Haines is a graphic designer from Perth, Australia, who has a long held passion for all things art and design. His primary styles of digital art range from typography, photomanipulation, to 3D matte painting and surreal landscapes. He works at a local design studio, and does freelance on the side, as well as submitting to the depthCORE collective.

It’s Monday again now though, so that means it’s time for another Best of the Web installment. 55 Epic, Weird and Totally Awesome Images

There are some incredibly talented and creative minds in the field of graphic design. Combining 3D, photomanipulation, and digital painting can result in some pretty incredible effects. However, designers don’t always create serious images for clients, sometimes, they just like to goof off.
Today, we have 55 epic, weird, insane, crazy, neat, confusing and just all around freakin’ awesome images that you have to see. If you glance at one and don’t get the idea, be sure to click and see the fullsize image, because there’s some hidden tricks in some of the images. A lot of these are a perfect wallpaper size, too.

As always, since it’s Monday, I’ve gone ahead and rounded up the best posts from the design world from the previous week. While certainly not the “end-all” of best of the web posts, I think that these posts illustrate the 7-10 posts that I think readers would most enjoy.

Sorry for the lack of updates this weekend folks, I had some massive PC issues that I needed to work out. But I’m back and everything is fixed up now, so tomorrow will be another big post that you won’t want to miss.
Meanwhile, the Monday tradition continues of picking the best of the web from the previous week, and collecting it all together. This week we have some great infrared photographs, 3 massive roundups for Adobe Illustrator and 3DSMax, a few neat tutorials, and a collection of great places for designers to sell their work.

This past week was a surprisingly quiet week in the design realm. I don’t know if this will be a growing trend for 2009, or if people are just getting swamped now that they’re back at work and school after the holiday calm. Hopefully things pick back up this week; I know they will around here.
Regardless, I’ve gone around again and gathered up the best posts from last week in the design community. There’s a few tutorials here, and a couple interesting articles and roundups. The Amazing Photomanipulations is probably my favorite post of the week, so be sure to check that one out if you don’t have time to view the others. Also, don’t forget to save a life by subscribing.
