thumbCyril Rolando is a 24 year old artist from Paris, France.  A clinician psychologist by trade, he also draws for fun, focusing primarily on the human emotions.  Despite never attending art school, Cyril’s work shines through as creative and surreal.  His inspiration comes from his experiences as a psychologist, and from Time Burton and Hayao Miyazaki.  About his artwork, he writes “This is a return to childhood, where animals can speak, dreams become reality and imagination rules the world.”

In this post, we’ll look at 40 creative, interesting, weird and bizarre paintings from Cyril.  His work resembles a surreal form of painting, though his work pushes the boundaries of every style.

thumbPhilip Straub is an incredibly talented illustrator, concept artist and digital painter, whose work has been used by a variety of publications around the world including Spectrum Fantasy Annuals, Expose’ digital fine art books, ImagineFX Magazine, Advanced Photoshop Magazine, Corel Painter Magazine, Fantasy Magazine and 2D artist Magazine.  As a former art director for ElectronicArts, he has had the unique privilege of working on a variety of videogames, and he currently works for NCSoft, where he has worked on other titles including Guild Wars.

Phillip’s work is imaginative, colorful and diverse.  His ability to create scenes depicting unmatched beauty is combined with his ability to create scenes that capture darkness and evil, all while pushing the boundaries of his skill and succeeding.  Here, we have 48 breathtaking, outstanding, incredible digital paintings by Philip that showcase some of the very best in his gallery.

thumbOne of the great things about computer graphics is that literally anything is possible.  Software such as 3DSMax, Maya, and Cinema4D are incredibly powerful, and when put in the hands of a talented user, the results can be breathtaking.
