The main focus of comedy movies is on humor. These movies are made to entertain the audience. Besides, they also convey a particular message to people. Comedy films gained popularity in early 1900s. Sneeze is considered to be the very first comedy movie, which was directed by Fred Ott. Since early movies were silent, the whole humor was shown through visuals only. The slapstick style made popular by Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton was very famous in early comedies.
