55 Incredible Product Advertisements You Haven’t Seen
Jul 1, 2009 Web Roundup
Advertisements are everywhere. On the back of cereal boxes, on the sides of busses, on billboards, in magazines, on TV, and, of course, the internet. It’s funny, most people spend a lot of energy trying to avoid advertisements, but in the world of graphic design, advertisements allow us to look at a specific product or service and see the message that is conveyed through the advertisement.
Today, we have 55 incredible product advertisements from deviantART that you haven’t seen, but are extraordinary examples of how creative and meaningful advertising should be done.
If you liked this post, please share it with your friends so they can see it too. Have a great day everyone, and if you ever have feedback or just want to chat, send me a message with the contact form.

Some of those are really cool. Where do you find all those?

I’m pretty active on some design communities, notably deviantART, where I basically browse around and create “collections”, such as web design, graphic design, space art, etc. Then when I feel like writing a post about it (or if someone asks for a post about it), I find the appropriate collection, choose some of the ones that fit, and then write it up.

There are some great ideas, but most of them are ghost ads, right?
July 1st, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Correct, most of them are just done for practice or other reasons and won’t be seen in print, with the exception of the ones done by he1z (Peter Jaworowski).

The problem with these kind of work is that it’s often looks before idea. Many of the ads are very beatifully crafted, but they simply lack an idea.

All these advertisements look the same, like they have been reading to many abdudeezo tutorials.
Where has originality gone?

I think there´s not a lack of creativity… design is about finding what your consumer is going to stop and stare and, hopefully, remember.
This ads are constructed with a very similar “line” because that’s the tendency of the market needs

Same old rubbish: looks over content stuff… People think advertising is about supa-dupa-techy-ilustrations… Want to see REALLY good adverts? Check what went on at Cannes Lions. That’s the real life.
And yes, I work with advertising.

I notice a lot of photo treatments but no real illustration done by the artist? Trend or coincidence?
July 23rd, 2009 at 2:21 pm
I think it’s a growing trend with the increase in stock photo services.

Stunning collection. I love the Tiger beer ad by Archan Nair. He is simply amazing!

My only problem with these is that while they are very well done in a technical sense, they all look very similar. As if done by the same person.
While yes, they do attract attention initially, they lose their luster quite easily among all the other well thought out advertisements.
