Wait…I just caught the line about Rolando being known as AquaSixio on DeviantArt. This explains it all. The unsigned works could have been before he learned the importance of signing your work, the Sixio piece to come from an early period of signing work, and the AS6 signature what he finally settled upon using.

I’m kind of surprised that nobody else has brought this up yet. There is a lack of consistency in how these pictures are signed. A number are signed with either AS6 or A56 (difficult to tell given the boxy typeface) in a rectangle, a number with no signature at all, and a lone picture (the giraffe) is signed as copyright Sixio. This leads me to believe that these works come from no fewer than three separate artists as every artist understands the need to sign their work, Sixio and AS6 cannot have been the artist behind the unsigned works. Additionally, there’s the issue with the images that are based directly upon pictures of Carly Pope and Claire Danes. What I suspect happened is that Cyril Rolando’s work is on a site like Deviant Art and whomever made this post copied his work over and additionally copied over a number of images from his favorites list (favorite works from other people) and mistakenly labeled them as Rolando’s work.
