29 Gorgeous and Colorful Macro Photographs

thumbMacro photography, or taking incredibly close up photographs to reveal hidden details, is one of the most interesting styles of photography around.  Humans are used to seeing only what they can perceive with their eyes, and that often limits our perception of beauty.  Macro photography allows the hidden details, the true inner beauty to be revealed.

Today, we have 29 gorgeous and colorful macro photographs that will be sure to take your breath away.  These images were hand selected for their perfect application of the macro photography concept, along with breathtaking colors and a creative inspiration.

If you have any favorite macro images that I missed, be sure to let me know in the comments so everyone can see.

This collection is unbelievable. I have always loved micro -photography. Some of these are worth having canvas print s created.

amazing capture..macro lens is all about the lens n strong subjects..those pics are vry attractive bt the round ball on the snow i jus cnt make out wat it is..loved the contrast in it..also the reflection of the flower on the drop is a vry good capture..

Wow! Look at the vibrant colors and tiny details!
Isn’t macro photography amazing? The hairy spider sticks out to me the most, mainly because of the details.
Any of these would look great on a frameless enlarged print.
We at Posterjack rarely see such high quality macro photos being printed on large media, which is too bad because it’s something I personally love macro stuff.
