26 Creative Digital Artworks by Fernando Faria

Fernando Faria, also known as Airaf, is a digital illustrator and character creation specialist from Brazil.  He is incredibly adept at modeling, painting and illustrating digital characters that convey emotions and personality through a static work.  Many of his characters seem fit for a Disney or Pixar film, and he is also talented at other forms of digital art as well.

In this post, we’ve gathered up 26 creative digital artworks from Fernando, selected from his gallery located here: http://airaf.deviantart.com/

If you like his work, check out his full gallery, as he has some wireframes and other works that show his talent level.

Enjoy the digital art, and thanks for reading!

I’ve seen quite afew of these characters before. I wonder if he was the concept artist who actually created these characters ( some of them, at least?) or are many of these just “Fan Art?” I’ll have to look it up. Either way, It’s interesting to see the quality of the artwork improve over the years based on the dates from each image. The character in the second picture is “Zooz;” the Female Counterpart of an old video game character named “Zool.” The character Zool made his debut in his first game (also called Zool) back in ’92. Zooz didn’t show up for her first (and only) appearance until the games sequel-Zool 2- was released in late ’93. I don’t really think either of the games were/are very well known; The only reason I ever even played either of them (as well as remember them so well) was because they were both included on one of those “SUPER-MEGA-RAD-FUN-TIME COLLECTION VOLUME 4,572: 101 [ MORE! ] VIDEO COMPUTER GAMES FOR YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTING ENTERTAINMENT BOX! THING!” CDs that came with the first CD-ROM drive my dad ever bought, years and years ago… One thing that I really remember (maybe it will make you remember too?) was that Both Zool games were sponsored by “Chupa Chups” and-in the second game especially-featured a very substantial amount of “product-placement” for the brand. “Chupa Chups” is based in Spain, and is a very large manufacturer and distributor of candy and sweets, mostly lollipops. Both Games feature the Chupa Chups logo ( designed by Salvador Dalí, BTW!) and all sorts of lollipops, gumdrops, and other candies quite extensively, with some levels made out of nothing but Chupa Chups candy and treats. anyways, hopefully someone finds this interesting? I saw the picture and it reminded me of Zool, just had to say something!
