    looks beautiful.

  2. Lauren July 22, 2009 at 12:27 pm #

You haven’t attributed any of the paintings. Did I miss something? Who are the artists?

Some of these look like concept art for films such as Lord of the Rings.

I’d appreciate an update about this.

These are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.

Yeah, it would be nice to have this work attributed to their respective artists. Especially since the 7th one down is mine. (Nice how my signature was cropped out) For those interested, more renderings can be viewed here: http://brinda.squarespace.com/illustration/medieval-airport/

I agree with Lauren. I’m a big fan of any art, and I would really like to know who’s behind these pictures. The list is great but not nearly complete without the links to source :)

    these images were absolutely stunning!

It should be noted that some of these are matte paintings, which means that they have used photographs in parts of their image, primarily the ones that have extremely detailed buildings or cliffs. This isn’t at all to take away from the paintings, but its something to consider before saying “omfg how did they paint all those little details?!?!”.

  10. Phaoloo July 23, 2009 at 9:03 am #

They are paintings? Unbelievable. But really great!

  11. XYZ July 23, 2009 at 9:32 am #

Yes I agree with Lauren. Why no attribution of the artists? Totally hypocritical to suggest these are great works and not list who did them.

  12. Brukhar July 23, 2009 at 10:35 am #

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for the comments. Sorry about not attributing the artists, usually I try to either link to their gallery or title the image with the artists name. Unfortunately, I got these from a larger collection of CG images that didn’t attribute the artists either. I’ll try to stick to getting them from places like CGSociety so I can link to the artist galleries.

Echoing what Lauren said – could you update the post with information about the artists?

Hey um… is it just me being a nerd or does it look like #17 was just a knock off of some fallout 3 concept art. or the actual fallout 3 concept art. considering it looks EXACTLY like a MAJOR landmark in the game.

The seventh one down -with the airships and the castle with waterfall – Was on in the quickstart booklet that came with Cinema 4D Core. Which means ‘painting’ doesn’t exactly fit ;)
