Web Picks #9
Jan 26, 2009 Best of the Web
This past week was a surprisingly quiet week in the design realm. I don’t know if this will be a growing trend for 2009, or if people are just getting swamped now that they’re back at work and school after the holiday calm. Hopefully things pick back up this week; I know they will around here.
Regardless, I’ve gone around again and gathered up the best posts from last week in the design community. There’s a few tutorials here, and a couple interesting articles and roundups. The Amazing Photomanipulations is probably my favorite post of the week, so be sure to check that one out if you don’t have time to view the others. Also, don’t forget to save a life by subscribing.

Daily Image Inspiration #3
Jan 24, 2009 Inspiration
I love inspiration. It helps share creativity with people across the world, and it gives us ideas in our own works. It also shows us that even the greatest designers in the world still have room to improve.
Today, we have another 10 inspirational images, all from Flickr. There is some great typography, some really neat 3D effects, some awesome promotional posters, and some other all-around inspiring images.
If you enjoy these kinds posts, please let me know. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I want to tailor posts to best meet the desires of readers, so the more feedback I receive, the better I can do this.
